Wind Beneath My Wings

If you are looking for facts and data backed up by science explaining why birds fly despite the many adversities it can or why an airplane remains stable despite the turbulence, then this article is not for you.

Oftentimes, when someone gets our backs, we call them friends. When a miraculous thing happened to us, we believed that an angel whispered to God our wishes. During the Christmas season, Santa Claus is surely the one who puts the gifts on the socks and on the mistletoe. When we see a bottle, we somehow plead that a genie will come up when we open it so that our three wonderful wishes can come true. Or a girl could wish that when the clock ticks at 12:00 o’clock, she could wear a nice dress and walk in her glass shoes.

Of the numerous friends I have, I do not have someone whom I call a best friend because they hold a different part of me. I haven’t seen my guardian angel and yet when I pray, I feel this angel’s presence. During Christmas, I found out that it was my mom and dad who put presents in the socks and laid down their Christmas gifts under the Christmas tree. I have seen Genie in a bottle but only on television. And I haven’t worn a gown or glass shoes when the clock ticks at 12:00 o’clock.

But there will be winds that you feel but will never see. They will embrace you in times of adversity and bring you a breath of fresh air. That will give you enough power to soar high and gain peace. Who will carry you from distant places and move you to places enough for you to serve your purpose? I have enough wind to keep on flying and I have enough humility to stay grounded.

Thank you for being the wind beneath my wings.

Let your story shine; that will be the light of one’s darkness. As you know, God has His blessed ways of reflecting your light to you.
